Vintage Fashion Alert

So I am finally back from a long break. So much has happen, yet so little time to tell it all, but I do not want to bored you people here so I will have to save the "best" for last. MB is finally leaving Hawaii for good now, and it is a little sad to see her leave. We arrived here in the same semester, and she has been a dear friend to me for a good year now. She is one of the more fun loving people I have met so far in my life. I love her!!! She does not judge me at all, but accept me for who I am, that I am thankful and will always remember.

This year has been crazy and hectic. This includes, weathers, school work, and interpersonal relationships with people. First of all, I never did express my appreciation for the sun. I do love sunny warm weathers(well without the humidity). It has been official that I hate cold rainy weathers. I hate being cold and wet period.

Since winter or cold weathers are officially passed, let us all say hello to Spring and Summer and goodbye to Winter. Now is the time to pile on cotton and linen. Bring them out and rock the streets. Have you notice how the fashion trend is moving? Yes honey! We are moving back towards being retro, how do you like that? I know some people dread it while others have waited for this day all their lives.

Whether you are thinking of cotton or linen, be sure to pile on some polka dots, (eyelet) lace, ribbons, demin, and a little silk. Lace and silk always go together, you can never be wrong when u pair them together.

While horizontal strip shirts in colors of navy/red and white are in trend, be sure to mix them well with your other clothing pieces, or else you might end up looking like you have just step off the ship. Don't want to look like a salior there.

Shades are the essentials of summer. Never forget to bring them with you wherever you may go. They are the summer essential for various reasons, for starters, the right pair of shades can make you look stylish and jazzed up an otherwise plain outfit. Shades with white frames are great for that retro vintage look. My personal favorite ones are those with square frames.

Leggings are also the way to go these days. Miniskirts and leggings is going to be a common sight these days. My favorite leggings are the black lace ones. For two simple reasons, first black makes my legs look slimer, and second black laces is just a classic piece of fashion wear every girl needs to own in her wardrobe.

Do you have anything you want to share? Any favorite fashion pieces that you might want to share?
Till then, I love you

Quote of the week

Consider this quote:

What I spent, is gone; what I kept, I lost;
but what I gave away will be mine forever.
—-Ethel Percy Andrus

It is rather insightful, and I thought I might as well share it with you nice folks. It was actually Brother Ottley(forner conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle choir) who give it to us(his choir class)
