THE Dress

DRUMS ROLL.... This is the vintage dress you have been waiting for. This is an empire cut dress, and it is flattering to most people,but note, if you have big hips, you probably want to avoid wearing it as it does make you look bigger. If you have a body shape that is heavier on the bottom, do wear something fitted but not tight!!! There is a difference. Never wear lose baggy shirts, because it makes you look bad, it makes anyone look bad period. Those shirts are only good being PJs... and reserve that for those purposes. For dresses, always try to choose one of linen or cotton material. Linen material looks good, and cotton cools you down in the hot weather since it is a highly air permiable material.


Enough said, to jazz up this look you can pin a brooch and wear some long dangling earrings of sorts, otherwise vintage pearl earrings or studs are a good way to go along with it as well. I pined mine on the right side of the dress. Here is picture of it as well.




I was a little hestiant about buying this dress due to 2 reasons. First of all, it certainly does not fit in with my style(it is empire cut, whenever the wind blows it makes me look as if i am pregnant!!!) and second of all, the back of the dress, is a tad too immodest, but to solve this problem I have decided to layer a lace camisole underneath.

I know you probably cannot see the lace camisole here, so I have taken some close up pictures of it.
