Hawaii 101

Some weeks back we went to turtle bay resort with some of our friends. Turtle bay resort is located on Oahu North Shore. It is about 20 miles away from the BYU-Hawaii campus.

We were told that there would be turtles at the beach and resort and so we decided to take a trip down to the resort. When we arrive there, we saw no turtles and it turns out that we had to be there in the morning, only then can we see the turtles and even feed them. All is not lost, we managed to at least capture one on flim.

Can you see the turtle? It was trying to swim out to the open sea, but the currents were to strong. He was washed onto the shore several times, we even manged to touch it.

I had recently painted my toe nails a shade of dark cherry red. I seldom paint my nails. I was feeling bored on the beach and so I decided to take a picture of it.

Following Turtle beach resort, we decided to it would be beach day again next week... This time we went to Sunset Beach.

Look at the turquoise blue water... Digital photography just does not do justice to it. Sunset beach is the windiest beach here on North Shore Oahu.

During my spare time, I play with my friend's hair...

Now it is merely a bun... With the addition of the hair accessory, I love how oriental it looks.

Since I have got time on our hands to spare, why not braid her hair. This look is secured by four bobby pins, with two on either sides.

To blend in with the local polynesian culture, we have decided to add a stick to it.
